Title:Entrepreneurial education and AI

Keynote Lecture

Abstract

Nowadays there is the digital shock that has rocked the societies of Europe and the world in general, and the Higher Education (HE) sector in particular. The last years’ exponential proliferation of
ChatGPT and other technologies empowered by large language models has impacted the HE sector with force, and though individuals and organisations have come to various terms with them, there is a fundamental problem with digital literacy. We have seen the Universities starting to deliver new modules on artificial intelligences (AIs) in different domain from management, entrepreneurship to medicine. However, there is still some reluctance in using such new tools in the academic world due to the resistance in learning new teaching and learning approach (Chen et al., 2024). Notwithstanding, there is a clear direction in embracing into the new Academic world. This talk wants to stimulate new debates in order to understand how the use of AI can empower teachers and student in terms of digital readiness, resilience, and capacity, but more especially by developing tools and frameworks allowing them to share and scale up the use of these tools, and their effects. The scope is to offer a methodological and innovative design that can explain the benefits of using AI for both teachers and students. We need to open eyes and ears and being flexible,“for better or for worse, digital modernity is upon us, and we must steer or be swept away by the current (Brønholt, 2021)”. The discussion seeks to sparking empowerment in its ideal form and consciously steers clear of nudging and related practices.
